Hello friends!

Today’s episode is all about how to make sure you are using your 24 hours in a meaningful, productive way. Sound good? You can listen in right here, or check us out on iTunes

We all have 24 hours in a day — but it doesn’t always feel like it, right?

The other day, I stumbled upon The Productivity Wheel on the Daily Muse (a career site /my current obsession). It gave me a cold, hard reminder that I’m not spending enough time on some really important stuff like friends, family, yoga, and even this podcast! In a bit of a panic, I sent the Wheel to Steph to get her two cents.

As you may or may not know, my co-host is a productivity master. If you read her blog, you’ll know what I mean. Steph is always inspiring me with the personal projects she takes on and she was the perfect interviewee for this episode.

Some of the many tips that you’ll find in the show:

I’m super excited for this episode and can’t wait to get the discussion rolling on how we can all make the most out of our days! Connect with us in the comments or on social media, and have an amazing (productive) week.

Episode 8: Sleep!

Guys, today we’re talking about one of our most favourite activities – sleeping! To accompany the post, we’re attaching a photo of us in bed together. You’re very welcome.

You can listen to the mp3 right here, or of course you can find us on iTunes! While you’re there, you could also rate and subscribe to us – we would so appreciate it.

In the episode, we talk about the importance of sleep, tell you our wild evolutionary theories about lack of sleep can make you gain weight, and tell you our sleep hygiene tips!

A little preview of our top tips:

  • Watch your caffeine intake, especially near bedtime
  • Limit the light sources in your room at night and don’t use brightly lit electronics right before bed!
  • Clear your mind before bed by meditating or deciding not to check your email
  • If you’re having trouble sleeping, write down (or use a voice memo) everything that’s on your mind
  • And more – you’ll have to listen to the podcast to hear the rest!

In the podcast, we also mention a great app that I love and use every night as my alarm clock: Sleep Cycle App! Definitely worth a try if you’re interested in seeing how well you’re sleeping or want a shot at waking up feeling more rested.

“A Good Night’s Sleep Makes for a Good Next Day” – a proverb from Laura Fraser.
